The following was printed on Katelyn Hawarny's Hall of Fame Plaque.
Katelyn Hawarny was a standout defender for the Saints from 2008 to 2011. In 2010, she earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors. Throughout her career, Hawarny received First Team All-WHAC, Second Team All-WHAC, and Honorable Mention All-WHAC accolades, in addition to being named an Academic All-WHAC selection.
During her tenure, the Saints experienced one of the most successful periods in program history, finishing 1st or 2nd in the WHAC every season and capturing three WHAC Tournament titles.
Hawarny appeared in 82 games—the 8th highest total in SHU history at the time—and started 80, ranking 3rd all-time. She contributed 2 goals and 13 assists, playing a vital role in both defense and transition.
Hawarny holds the unique distinction of being the only women’s soccer player in school history to be inducted into the Hall of Fame individually while also having all four of the teams she played on enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
