Emily Skeels was a forward for the Saints from 2001 to 2004. During her career, she earned First Team All-WHAC and Second Team All-WHAC honors, and was also recognized as an Academic All-WHAC selection.

In 2002, Skeels played a key role in helping the Saints capture a WHAC Championship and achieve an 11th-place national ranking in the NAIA.

Skeels appeared in 83 games, which ranked 4th in program history at the time of her graduation. She scored 32 goals—the 10th most in school history upon her departure—and tallied six game-winning goals, placing her 6th all-time in that category.

Her 2001 season was particularly impressive, as she recorded 18 goals, the 5th-best single-season total in SHU history, and notched five game-winning goals, tied for 6th-best in a single season at the time.
