The following was printed on Taylor Byron's Hall of Fame Plaque:
Taylor Byron was one of the most accomplished throwers in Siena Heights University history, earning two NAIA All-American honors during her career. She achieved her first All-American distinction at the 2013–14 NAIA Indoor National Championships, finishing sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 17.26 meters. Byron followed with her second All-American performance at the 2014 NAIA Outdoor National Championships, placing fifth in the shot put with a throw of 14.27 meters.
In addition to her All-American finishes, Byron qualified for seven additional NAIA National Championship events across multiple throwing disciplines. Outdoors, she recorded finishes of 12th (2014), 15th (2013), and 18th (2012) in the hammer throw, along with 22nd (2012) and 23rd (2013) in the shot put. Indoors, she placed 15th at the 2013–14 NAIA Indoor Championships and 23rd at the 2012–13 championships in the shot put.
Byron was a dominant presence at the conference level, earning WHAC Most Valuable Performer honors at the 2012 Outdoor Championships. She captured five WHAC championships, winning the outdoor shot put in 2012, 2013, and 2014, the outdoor hammer throw in 2014, and the indoor shot put during the 2013–14 season. She also recorded four WHAC runner-up finishes and two third-place finish in the outdoor discus, further solidifying her legacy as one of the Saints’ top throwers.
