Tyler Fugate continued Siena Heights’ tradition of excellence in the pole vault, establishing herself as one of the program’s most decorated athletes. Over her career, Fugate earned four NAIA All-American honors. She finished as the national runner-up at the 2021 NAIA Outdoor National Championships with a vault of 4.00 meters. Fugate also earned fourth-place finishes at the 2022–23 NAIA Indoor Championships (3.87 meters) and the 2024 NAIA Outdoor Championships (3.75 meters), along with a sixth-place finish at the 2020–21 NAIA Indoor Championships after clearing 3.73 meters.
In addition to her All-American performances, Fugate placed 13th at the 2023–24 NAIA Indoor Championships, competed at the 2019–20 NAIA Indoor Championships, and qualified for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Championships. She helped the Saints earn a 10th-place team finish at the 2022–23 NAIA Indoor Championships. At the WHAC level, Fugate captured one conference championship while adding two runner-up finishes and two third-place finishes. She set the Siena Heights indoor pole vault school record with a clearance of 4.07 meters at the Andres Family Open in December 2021. Fugate also excelled academically, earning three NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, five WHAC All-Academic recognitions, and selection to the WHAC Champions of Character team.
