Marissa Johnson was one of the most dominant high jumpers in Siena Heights history, earning six NAIA All-American honors and capturing back-to-back national championships. Johnson won the 2015 and 2016 NAIA Outdoor High Jump titles with jumps of 1.77 meters and 1.74 meters, respectively. She followed with a runner-up finish at the 2017 NAIA Outdoor Championships and third-place finishes at both the 2015–16 and 2016–17 NAIA Indoor Championships. Her All-American career began with a sixth-place finish at the 2014–15 NAIA Indoor Championships.

Johnson consistently helped lead the Saints to national success, contributing to four top-10 team finishes at NAIA Championships. She captured four WHAC high jump titles and was named WHAC Indoor Most Valuable Performer once. Johnson also excelled academically, earning two NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and three Academic All-WHAC selections. She was a member of the Hall of Fame 2014–15, 2015–16, and 2016–17 Women’s Track & Field teams.
