The following was printed on Sheila McKinley's Hall of Fame Plaque:
Sheila McKinley (Leaders) was one of the most accomplished pole vaulters in Siena Heights history, earning seven NAIA All-American honors and a national championship. She captured the 2018 NAIA Outdoor pole vault title with a clearance of 4.00 meters and added multiple podium finishes at both indoor and outdoor national championships throughout her career.
McKinley helped lead the Saints to five top-10 team finishes at NAIA National Championships and won four WHAC titles. She was named the WHAC Indoor Most Outstanding Performer during the 2017–18 season. In addition to her athletic success, McKinley earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, multiple Academic All-WHAC recognitions, and was named to the WHAC Champions of Character team. She was also a member of the Hall of Fame 2014–15, 2015–16, and 2016–17 Women’s Track & Field teams.
