Hall of Fame

The following was printed on Aubrey Bates' Hall of Fame Plaque:

Aubrey Bates was a setter for the Saints from 2020 to 2024. In 2022, she became the only Saints women’s volleyball player to earn NAIA All-American honors, being named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. She was also named WHAC Setter of the Year in 2021. Bates earned First Team All-WHAC accolades three times and Second Team All-WHAC honors twice. Additionally, she was a member of the WHAC All-Freshman Team and earned Academic All-WHAC honors twice. 

Bates was recognized by the AVCA on All-Region teams three times, twice as a First Team honoree and once as an Honorable Mention. She holds the Saints’ career records for both aces (214) and assists (4,751), shattering previous marks in both categories. She also ranks fifth in career digs with 1,323. Bates holds the 6th and 7th highest single-season ace totals with 53 aces in 2022 and 52 aces in 2021, respectively. Her single-season assists totals of 1,174 and 1,075 rank as the 4th and 7th best in SHU history.
