Baseball Drops Four at Midway

MIDWAY, Ky. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost four games to Midway on Friday and Saturday. Individual recaps are below.

 

Game 1: Midway (Ky.) 16, Siena Heights 15 (10 inn.)

Siena Heights pounded out 17 hits in a wild back‑and‑forth contest but fell 16–15 in 10 innings.

Jack Semler had a standout performance with four RBIs, including a three‑run homer and an RBI single. Mac Melvin collected five hits with a three‑run homer of his own, and Mason Mitchell added a home run while scoring four times.

Game 2: Midway (Ky.) 11, Siena Heights 1

Kameron Woods delivered the Saints' lone RBI with a sixth‑inning single that scored Justin Holton.

Game 3: Midway (Ky.) 11, Siena Heights 6

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Siena Heights used a four‑run second inning to briefly take the lead before falling.

Semler had a three-run double and later added another RBI single. Mitchell contributed an RBI single, and Mason Baer added a run‑scoring hit in the seventh.

Game 4: Midway (Ky.) 7, Siena Heights 3

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Siena Heights tied the game 3–3 in the third but couldn't keep pace.

Jaozef Del Rosario drove in the Saints' first inning run, and later singled again to bring home another as Mitchell scored twice.
