COLUMBUS, ind. -- The Siena Heights baseball team earned its first two wins of 2026, taking victories of 5-3 and 1-0 over Indiana-Columbus on Wednesday. Individual recaps are below.
Game 1: Siena Heights 5, IUC 3
Zander Zeiter blasted a two-run homer in the seventh inning, breaking a 3-all tie for SHU's first win. Guy Young earned the save with a scoreless seventh and John Millen was credited the win after 1 1/3 frames of scoreless ball.
SHU had taken a 3-0 lead in the first before IUC chipped away with solo runs in the second, third and fifth innings.
Braxton Mustiful batted 2-for-3 with a triple.
Game 2: Siena Heights 1, IUC 0
An RBI single by Jack Semler plated Mil Ramsey for the game's only run in the fifth.
Wyatt Burris threw 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. He had five strikeouts and two walks.
Nolan Gray saved the game with a scoreless seventh. Jack Corriveau (1 IP) and starter Dayton Stamper (1/3 IP) also pitched during the combined shutout.
