GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost a pair of WHAC contests to Aquinas on Friday. Individual recaps are below.
Game 1: Aquinas 7, Siena Heights 4
Mason Mitchell batted 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Braxton Mustiful and Zander Zeiter also doubled.
SHU built a 4-0 lead before host Aquinas scored seven unanswered runs.
Mitchell had an RBI single in the first. In the second, Pablo Arnaud hit an RBI single and Mitchell delivered a two-un single.
Aquinas chipped away with two in the third and then single runs in the third and fourth frames. Aquinas' 3-run sixth put it ahead for good.
Game 2: Aquinas 13, Siena Heights 3
Mitchell went 3-for-4, Zeiter was 2-for-4, and Semler and Malaki Edwards hit doubles.
The teams played to a 3-3 tie before Aquinas broke it open with an 8-run seventh.
Semler had an RBI double in the SHU first inning and Brady Belegin smacked an RBI single during SHU's 2-run fourth.
