GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheer team placed third among six teams at its final WHAC Championships event, which took place Saturday at Aquinas.
The Saints opened the event with a preliminary score of 88.55, which had them ranked second. However, SHU fell to third after a final-round score of 83.00.
Siena Heights ended the Championships with a final score of 84.39, which ended behind champ Madonna (92.52) and runner-up Lourdes (91.13).
SHU competed the prior night in a dual against Aquinas, defeating the host Saints, 86.85-61.53.
