FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights football team played its first road game of 2024, dropping a 32-10 contest to Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday.
Defensive back Shamar Askin had two interceptions and linebacker Tanner Rubinstein finished with 12 tackles, including one for-loss. Defensive back Brevin Jackson added nine tackles and fellow DB Keambiroiro Perdue had a sack.
On offense, wide receiver Tendaji Alexander made three receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Running back Brendan Haisenleder carried the ball 22 times for 50 yards.
SHU (0-4) took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter on an 8-yard strike from quarterback Elijah Taylor to Alexander.
Kicker David Medvedik, who converted a 30-yard field goal in the first, tacked on the point-after for the Saints' final points.
After that, host Saint Francis (3-1) rattled off 25 consecutive points.
Siena Heights will be in action next when it visits MSFA newcomer Defiance on Saturday, Sept. 28, for a 1 pm. start.
