Siena Heights linebacker Clarke Hamilton was named Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week by the league on Monday.

Hamilton totaled 11 tackles, including two sacks, and had the game-sealing fumble recovery during Saturday's 24-21 win over Saint Francis (Ill.).

Hamilton also stepped into his secondary role during the Saints' victory, taking over long-snapping duties over the final three quarters after Siena Heights' primary snapper went down.
