Siena Heights football defenders A.J. Knox and Clarke Hamilton were selected to the AFCA/NAIA All-America Teams, as announced by the American Football Coaches Association on Thursday.
Knox was named to the AFCA/NAIA All-America Second Team while Hamilton was honored on the Third Team. Both had already been chosen to the All-MSFA Mideast First Team.
Knox led the team in tackles-for-loss and sacks with 17 1/2 and 10 1/2, respectively. The 10 1/2 sacks was a school record. He was fifth in tackles with 41 and also had two forced fumbles and one blocked kick. Knox finished tied for eighth in SHU history with 11 1/2 sacks.
Hamilton was the MSFA Mideast Defensive Player of the Year after registering his third consecutive All-MSFA honor. He was First Team in 2025 after earning Second Team honors in 2024 and 2023.
Hamilton led the Saints in tackles (94) while ranking second in tackles-for-loss (14 1/2) and sacks (8). He added two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Career-wise, Hamilton ties for the school record with 37 1/2 TFLs while rating third in tackles (249), tied for third in forced fumbles (4) and tied for sixth in sacks (13).
