ADRIAN, Mich. -- Jerrell Martin's double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds led the Siena Heights men's basketball team to a 104-73 victory against Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Marygrove at the SHU Fieldhouse on Saturday.

George Goodman added 16 points and seven assists while Christian Covile contributed 15 points and five assists for the Saints (10-16, 6-12), who opened the game on a 16-2 run and led for the rest of the game.

Also, Trevor Holston scored 11 points and Nick Randle made seven assists for Siena Heights.

SHU's largest lead of the first half was 21 points before Marygrove's Darryll Dixon scored 10 points during a 16-4 Mustang run. That stretch helped the visitors cut their deficit to 40-32, but that was as closed as they would get.

A three-pointer by Goodman gave the Saints a 45-32 lead into halftime and SHU kept the gap in double-digits for the remainder of the game.

As a team, Siena Heights finished with 29 assists. Martin was 9 of 13 from the field for a Saints squad that finished 41 of 81 (50.6 percent).

SHU committed eight turnovers to Marygrove's 17 giveaways.

Dixon had 27 points to lead the Mustangs (3-23, 1-17). Diante Taylor had a doule-double worth 19 points and 11 rebounds, Jujuan Armstrong contributed 11 points and eight rebounds, and Tyler Sykes hauled down eight boards.

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. WHAC contest at nationally-ranked Cornerstone.
