BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- Robert Kowalenko tied for 17th as the Siena Heights men's golf team's top finisher at Olivet's Lou Collins Memorial as the Saints placed ninth among 16 teams at the two-day event, which wrapped up Saturday at Bedford Valley Golf Course.
Kowalenko had a two-day 151 (75-76) on the 6,980-yard, par-71 layout.
Nick Zanotti tied for 29th with a 155 (80-75), Parker Ross tied for 43rd with a 158 (78-80), and Joe Forest tied for 51st with a 160 (79-81).
Also for SHU, Nick Sanscrainte tied for 61st in the 90-golfer field with a 162 (80-82).
Siena Heights compiled a team score of 624 (312-312). Owens Community College (Ohio) won the event with 588 (299-289) while Calvin's John Van Noord claimed medalist honors with a 590 (300-290).
The Saints will compete next on Sept. 6 at the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree, which is set to be hosted by Madonna.
