JACKSON, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team placed second at the Spring Arbor Co-Ed Invitational, which took place Friday and Saturday at Cascades Golf Course. Results were not immediately available on Saturday.
Robert Kowalenko finished as the top SHU performer with a two-day total of 149 (76-73). He placed third individually.
Joe Forest and Nicklaus Zanotti added 156 totals (both 79-77) and tied for sixth. Tim Combs tied for 12th with a 160 (75-85) and Nick Sanscrainte tied for 17th with a 162 (79-83).
A total of 37 golfers from six schools competed at the event. Host Spring Arbor won with a 612 (304-308) and was followed, in order: Siena Heights 619 (309-310); Lourdes, Ohio 644 (329-315); Albion 652 (329-323); Cleary 655 (324-331); and Olivet 691 (345-346).
Cleary's Devin Young (75-73) and Spring Arbor's Cody Lysher (73-75) tied atop the leaderboard with 148s.
The Saints will compete next on Thursday at Trine's A.C. Eddy Invitational, which will take place at Zollner GC in Angola, Ind.
