FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Tim Combs tied for sixth and Ian Martin tied for ninth as the top Siena Heights men's golf team tied for fourth at the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree, which Indiana Tech hosted Wednesday at Coyote Creek Golf Course.

Combs had an even-par 72 and Martin shot a one-over 73 on the 6,978-yard, par-72 layout.

Nicklaus Zanotti added a 75 to tie for 16th and Parker Ross carded a 77 to tie for 28th.

As a team, the Saints had a score of 297, finishing behind Indiana Tech (291), Northwestern Ohio (293) and Lawrence Tech (295) while tying with Madonna. SHU trimmed its deficit six strokes in the WHAC regular-season standings by besting Davenport (303).

Lawrence Tech's Josh Dirlam was the individual medalist with a four-under-par 68.

The Saints will return to competition on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Jon P. Spiess Tournament, which will be hosted by Defiance (Ohio) at Ironwood in Wauseon, Ohio.
