First-Quarter Run Propels Men's Lax Over #13 Indiana Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Tom Kreitzer scored three goals -- all of which occurred during a 7-1 first-quarter run -- as the Siena Heights men's lacrosse team defeated 13th-ranked Indiana Tech in a non-conference contest at O'Laughlin Stadium on Friday.

Chris Acton and Nate Woods added two goals apiece for the Saints (3-0), who scored three times in the first 1:51 and never looked back.

Single goals were recorded by Shane Lewandowski, John Holowaty, Patrick Albrant, Brennen Gohr, Danny Orr, Nick Lyons and Adam Keay.

Holowaty and Orr were credited with three assists apiece. Lewandowski also had a helper.

Winning goaltender Ryan Mailloux finished with 13 saves and five groundballs while Jordan Martin, Joshua Abruzzo and Brennen Gohr contributed four GBs each. Abruzzo also had two caused turnovers.

Jace Childs, Dan Schaepkens and Kyle Dommermuth scored two goals apiece for the Warriors (1-1). Schaepkens also had two assists while Kevin Goehring picked up eight groundballs and Childs caused four turnovers.

Blake Johnson played in net for Indiana Tech, finishing with seven saves.

The Saints will return to action on Sunday with a 2 p.m. Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association Central Division matchup with Oakland.
