#15 Men's Lacrosse Bounces Back With Win Over Ferris State

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Chris Acton and John Holowaty had six-point games to lead the 15th-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team to a 21-2 victory over Ferris State in non-conference action on Sunday.

Holowaty had three goals and three assists while Acton finished with two goals and four assists. Nate Woods was the Saints' leading goal scorere with four tallies.

Also for SHU (9-1), Chris Batkins had three goals and one assist. Derek Martin chipped in with two goals and two assists.

Shane Lewandowski put in three goals, Danny Orr compiled two goals and one assist and Nick Lyons ended with one goal and one assist. Brennen Gohr had one goal and Adam Keay made an assist.

Travis Byrd was Siena Heights' groundball leader with seven GBs. He went 8-1 in the faceboof circle. As a team, the Saints went 21-6 on faceoffs; Broderick Ames was 10-4 and Dan Diffenderfer went 3-1.

Ryan Mailloux stopped one shot in net before relief goalie Drew Pointe played the final three quarters and stopped four shots.

The Saints will be in action next on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. non-conference game at Aquinas.
