Head Coach: Andrew (Drew) Crawford enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Siena Heights men's soccer team. Crawford was named to the NAIA All-America Team in 1987 and 1988, was NAIA All-Region in 1986, 1987, and 1988, and was NAIA All-District in 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. Following his four years at SHU, Crawford had a 10-year professional career including two seasons in which he was a National Professional Soccer League all-star.
At Home: The Saints hold an overall record of 31-44-12 at home since 2011 and a WHAC record of 13-32-10 in O'Laughlin Stadium. The Saints will host their Homecoming game Saturday, October 1st as the team takes on Concordia (MI). In last years Homecoming game, the Saints tied Madonna University in an overtime thriller with a final score of 1-1.
On the Road: The SHU men's soccer team will ease off of the road trips and only have to travel for one game this week on Wednesday, September 28 as they take on Cornerstone University at 7:00 PM.
Last Week Recap: The Saints faced two tough road tests to close out the month of September by traveling to Spring Arbor and #11 University of Northwestern Ohio. They came up just short after suffering a 3-1 defeat at Spring Arbor followed by a nail-biting 1-0 loss to the number eleven team in the nation UNOH.
Series History:
Cornerstone University - In their eight total meetings since 2013, The Saints hold a record of 4-3-1 against the Golden Eagles as last year's match ended in a 2-1 win in favor of the Saints.
Concordia University (MI) - The rivalry has shown its meaning with the Saints having a record of 4-5 across the last nine matchups with last years game ending in a 2-1 victory for Siena.
