Upcoming for Saints Men's Soccer: The Saints will look to build off of their first conference win on Saturday as they move on to two tough tests for the week. This weeks action will kick off Wednesday, October 5th as the team will take on the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech at O'Laughlin Stadium. This will be the last Saints home game until October 15th. Moving further into the week, the Saints will travel to Livonia to play Madonna University on Saturday, October 8th to close out the week.

Head Coach: Andrew (Drew) Crawford enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Siena Heights men's soccer team. Crawford was named to the NAIA All-America Team in 1987 and 1988, was NAIA All-Region in 1986, 1987, and 1988, and was NAIA All-District in 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. Following his four years at SHU, Crawford had a 10-year professional career including two seasons in which he was a National Professional Soccer League all-star.

At Home: The Saints hold an overall record of 32-44-12 at home since 2011 and a WHAC record of 14-32-10 in O'Laughlin Stadium. The Saints will host one home game for the week while their second game will be on the road.

On the Road: The SHU men's soccer team will look to obtain their first road win on the season when they travel to Madonna University on Saturday.

The Team: The SHU men's soccer team returns multiple starters from the 2021 season, including Sophomore Nolan Chaput. The Canton, Michigan native held two goals for the Saints and one assist last season, totaling seven points, and will return wearing the #13 jersey. In addition, Marcelo Rocha, a Junior from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, who tallied two goals and four points last season, returns to the Siena's starting lineup. Senior Timm Castro returns for his final year after boasting one goal and one assist last year alongside Junior Wilhem Weissheimer, who also put up one goal and one assist. Rounding out the returners list is Senior goalkeeper Jacob Wojciechowski who recorded 960:24 in goal for the Saints with a .663 save percentage. Wojciechowski was also a member of the Championships of Character Team and the WHAC All-Academic team during the 2021 season.

Last Week's Recap: The Saints opened last week by traveling to Cornerstone University where they faced a 2-1 defeat in their second conference game. The team looked to snap this losing skid on Homecoming against Concordia University (MI) and the boys advanced on to a 1-0 victory off of a Gaizka Zandio header in the waning minutes of the game.

Series History:

Lawrence Tech University - In their nine total meetings since 2013, the Saints hold a 3-6-0 record against the Blue Devils.

Madonna University - The Saints hold a record of 1-6-2 against the Crusaders with last year's matchup ending in a 1-1 tie at home.
