Upcoming for Saints Men's Soccer Team: The Saints open the week sitting at ninth in the WHAC standings but are looking to get back on track with two important conference games for the week. SHU will start by traveling to Rochester University who sits just one point ahead of the Saints in the standings. The team will end the week Saturday taking on #21 ranked Indiana Tech at home.
Head Coach: Andrew (Drew) Crawford enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Siena Heights men's soccer team. Crawford was named to the NAIA All-America Team in 1987 and 1988, was NAIA All-Region in 1986, 1987, and 1988, and was NAIA All-District in 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. Following his four years at SHU, Crawford had a 10-year professional career including two seasons in which he was a National Professional Soccer League all-star.
At Home: The Saints hold an overall record of 31-44-13 at home since 2011 and a WHAC record of 13-32-11 in O'Laughlin Stadium. SHU is undefeated at home this year holding three wins and one tie after last week's tie against Lawrence Tech.
On the Road: The Saints are still looking for their first win on the road and will look to snap that winless streak Wednesday as they travel to Rochester University.
The Team: The SHU men's soccer team returns multiple starters from the 2021 season, including Sophomore Nolan Chaput. The Canton, Michigan native held two goals for the Saints and one assist last season, totaling seven points, and will return wearing the #13 jersey. In addition, Marcelo Rocha, a Junior from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, who tallied two goals and four points last season, returns to the Siena's starting lineup. Senior Timm Castro returns for his final year after boasting one goal and one assist last year alongside Junior Wilhem Weissheimer, who also put up one goal and one assist. Rounding out the returners list is Senior goalkeeper Jacob Wojciechowski who recorded 960:24 in goal for the Saints with a .663 save percentage. Wojciechowski was also a member of the Championships of Character Team and the WHAC All-Academic team during the 2021 season.
Last Week Recap: The Saints started off the week Wednesday facing a conference rival in Lawrence Tech. Marcelo Rocha put the Saints up 1-0 heading into halftime but gave up an equalizing goal with 15 minutes to go. The team then traveled to face an undefeated Madonna University and lost 7-1.

Rochester University: The Saints are 4-2 against Rochester with last year's matchup ending in a 3-2 loss for the Saints.
Indiana Tech: SHU Men's Soccer team is winless against Indiana Tech in all matchups since 2013 with last year's matchup ending in a 6-0 defeat on the road.
