Siena Heights fell behind, 2-0, but made a spirited effort in set three to keep its comeback hopes alive.

In the opening set, the Wolves (3-5, 2-0) jumped ahead 15-4 and never looked back. Then, in the second, the squads traded runs -- SHU had a five-point run, which CSU answered with a six-point streak -- and after a 14-all tie, Stritch closed the set with an 11-5 stretch.

The third set featured 13 ties, including knots at 23, 24, 25, and 26, before SHU scored three straight points -- the first on a Max Field kill and then two more on CSU errors -- to force a fourth set.

Then, in set four, the Wolves used an 8-1 run to take a commanding 17-9 lead -- an advantage they would hold through the final point.

Patrick Lentz led CSU with 12 kills while Brian Hoffman and Noah Mader chipped in with 11 and 10, respectively. Collin Hartman made 47 assists, Chris Sorensen had 10 digs, and Hoffman compiled nine total blocks.
