Three Men's Wrestlers Named NAIA Scholar Athlete

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Men's Wrestling 2026 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  The Saints had three student-athletes earn this distinction. 

In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year.

Earning the award for the Saints was:

Nolan McDowell (1st time), sophomore, data analytics major from Plymouth, Michigan

Brandon Rau (3rd time), senior, criminal justice major from Tecumseh, Michigan

Benjamin Westerlund (1st time), sophomore, chemistry major from Matfors, Sweden
