LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Samuel Parlette was the top individual runner for the Siena Heights men's cross country team at the NAIA Championships, placing 98th at Rim Rock Farm on Saturday.

Parlette finished with 8-kilometer course in 25:52.

Brett Smith and Justin Bateson also competed for the Saints, placing 113rd and 126th, respectively. A total of 313 runners competed.

Smith clocked in at 26:01 while Bateson finished in 26:09.

Eric Avila of Southern Oregon won the individual national title with a time of 24:02. Oklahoma City was the team champion with 77 points.
