Another No-No For O'Hotzke as Softball Stretches Win Streak to Five

TUCSON, Ariz. -- For the second straight day, Siena Heights pitcher Katie O'Hotzke recorded two wins, including a no-hitter, as the Siena Heights softball team stretched its winning streak to five with an 8-0 win over Purdue North Central (Ind.) and a 10-9 victory against Judson (Ill.) on Friday at the Tucson Invitational Games.

Against PNC, O'Hotzke pitched all five innings of the shortened game, finishing with seven strikeouts and one walk. At the plate, she homered and drove in two runs.

Also, Mariah Boss scored two runs and stole two bases while Liz Polmanteer (triple) batted 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI. Kenya Keller tripled and Taylor Hayes doubled.

The Saints (8-4) scored three runs in the first inning -- highlighted by O'Hotzke's two-run homer.

Keller had an RBI triple and Boss slapped an RBI single in SHU's three-run fourth.

Polmanteer smashed her triple to drive in a run during the Saints' two-run fifth.

SHU led the second contest, 8-0, but Judson scored nine runs in the last two frames.

Of the nine runs scored by Judson, only four were earned. O'Hotzke gave up 10 hits while recording two strikeouts and one walk.

On offense, O'Hotzke went 3-for-5 with two runs, two stolen bases and one RBI. Keller (triple) went 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI. Polmanteer and Megan Jones (homer) added two hits apiece. Boss had three stolen bases.

SHU grabbed an early lead in the first on RBI singles by O'Hotzke and Taylor Hayes.

In the second, Siena Heights scored five times -- twice on a Keller single and three times on Jones' blast over the left-field fence.

Keller added an RBI triple in the sixth and Tiffany Jones drove in a run during the SHU seventh.

The Saints will wrap up play at the Tucson Invitational games on Saturday with games against Robert Morris (Ill.) and Missouri Valley.
