ADRIAN COLLEGE RIVALRY:  Siena Heights has held a distinct advantage in the AC rivalry game winning 12 of the last 16 contests.  Since the 2007-2008 season, SHU was won 12 of 14.  They say their 10 game winning streak in the rivalry game come to an end in the 2019-2020 season when they last played the game at Adrian.  Last season, the Saints won at home 64-47.  The game was not played in the 2020-2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SHU THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT:  Siena Heights has hosted a annual Thanksgiving weekend tournament since the 2010-2011 season.  The only year they did not host was the 2020-2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This will be the 12th annual tournament.  The Saints have a record of 15-7 in the prior eleven tournaments.  They are on a six game winning streak during their tournament, and have never lost their opening game of the tourney.  The 2020-2021 season brought wins over Governors State (65-49) and Shawnee State (84-62).

LAST TIME OUT: The SHU women's basketball saw their season opening winning streak come to an end with a double overtime loss at Northwestern Ohio.
Peyton Banks led the Saints with 24 points for the game.  Olivia DeLong had 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while Sha'kyia Parker added 12 points and Kayla Hinton chipped in 11 points.  Hinton also led the Saints with five assists.

She also sits 220 points from hitting 2,000 career points, a point that no SHU women's basketball player has reached. Her 855 career rebounds are 244 away from the lead in that category, she moved into 3rd place on the Saints' career record board is 84 rebounds behind the second place total of 939.
