Banks Named WHAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Siena Heights senior Peyton Banks was named WHAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 6-12.

Banks totaled 36 points and 21 rebounds over two games as the Saints defeated Cornerstone and Michigan-Dearborn last week.

Banks finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and two assists in a 79-47 victory against the Golden Eagles on Wednesday. Then, she compiled a double-double worth 22 points, 12 rebounds and one block in Friday's 70-43 triumph against UMD.

On the week, Banks was 12 of 23 from the field (52.2 percent) and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

Siena Heights has won eight straight games and 13 of 14. It will play next on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off at Rochester.

Banks is a three-time WHAC Player of the Week in 2022-23.
