Siena Heights women's basketball guard Jam Thigpen was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the league on Monday.

Thigpen was a rebound machine for the Saints last week. She had 21 rebounds in the Saints' 75-56 win against WHAC conference opponent, Defiance, and another 16 in Siena Heights' 85-84 victory over Olivet Nazarene.
