GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team earned a 74-71 win over WHAC opponent Cornerstone on Wednesday night.

Kanyla Tyler led the Saints with 29 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Lauren DeWolf added 21 points and five rebounds.

Also for SHU (3-1, 2-0), E'Moni Finch scored 15 points while Jam Thigpen and Ra'janique Coleman hauled down five rebounds apiece.

Siena Heights led 39-35 at halftime and stretched its lead to 53-40 before the Golden Eagles closed their deficit to 73-71 with three seconds remaining.

Host Cornerstone (2-3, 0-1) never had possession with a chance to tie.

SHU will return to action Saturday with a 3 p.m. game against WHAC opponent Michigan-Dearborn.
