ADRIAN, Mich. — Ty'Veonna Davis poured in a game‑high 26 points and Jam Thigpen delivered a double‑double, but the Siena Heights women's basketball team came up just short in a 62–59 loss to 24th-ranked Indiana Tech during WHAC action at the SHU Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Saints (5–10, 4–8) trailed by 11 after the first quarter but clawed back behind a strong second‑half push, outscoring the Warriors 37–34 over the final three periods. Siena Heights shot 53 percent in the fourth quarter and pulled within one possession multiple times, but Indiana Tech answered each run to hold on.
Davis fueled the comeback effort, shooting 6 of 18 from the field and 11 of 14 at the line while adding eight rebounds. Thigpen was a force inside with 10 points and 19 rebounds — including nine on the offensive glass.
Kanyla Tyler added 14 points and four rebounds, and Kalise Bass chipped in four points and an assist. Siena Heights dominated the boards 44–31 and collected 17 offensive rebounds, turning them into eight second‑chance points.
Despite the loss, Siena Heights held the league leaders to just six points in the second quarter and limited them to 28 points in the paint.
