DEFIANCE, Ohio — Lauren DeWolf scored 20 points to lead the Siena Heights women's basketball team to a 69–46 victory over WHAC opponent Defiance on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints (8–9, 7–7) jumped out quickly, holding Defiance to six points in each of the first two quarters and building a 38–12 halftime lead. Siena Heights shot 50 percent from the field for the game and never trailed.
Ty'Veonna Davis added 12 points, while Kanyla Tyler finished with 15 points and six rebounds for the Saints. Siena Heights also got eight points from Josette Zuvers and seven from E'Moni Finch off the bench.
The Saints took control early behind hot shooting and aggressive defense, going 8‑for‑14 from the floor in the second quarter and forcing Defiance into 10 turnovers in the first half. Siena Heights led by as many as 33 points in the fourth quarter.
DeWolf knocked down three 3‑pointers and grabbed three rebounds, while Jam Thigpen pulled down 11 rebounds.
