Siena Heights women's basketball guard Jam Thigpen was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the league on Monday.

Thigpen had 18 rebounds and two steals during the Saints' win over 75-56 win against Northwestern Ohio last week. She followed up with 11 rebounds and one steal in a 69-59 win against Madonna to finish with a weekly total of 29 rebounds, including 16 in the defensive end, and three steals.

Thigpen leads the WHAC with 11.7 rebounds per game, ranking eighth in the NAIA.

Thigpen is now a two-time WHAC Defensive Player of the Week in 2025-26.
