GRANDVILLE, Mich. -- Ashley Everett was runner-up, Andrea Richards placed third and Sydney Gossett tied for fourth as the Siena Heights women's golf team placed second at the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree, which took place at Sunnybrook Country Club.
Everett shot a two-over-par 74, which is a SHU individual single-round record. Richards had a 76 and Gossett finished with a 77 on the 5,989-yard, par-72 layout.
The Saints had a team score of 316 -- a SHU school-record team score -- and finished behind Indiana Tech (308) and narrowly ahead of Madonna. Indiana Tech's Wiebke Schlender was the top golfer on Monday, finishing with a two-under 70.
In the WHAC standings, SHU still sits in third place with a three-round total of 1,005. The Saints trail Indiana Tech (966) and Madonna (982) and sit ahead of Aquinas (1,016), Lourdes (1,046), Davenport (1,051), Northwestern Ohio (1,123) and Cornerstone (1,229).
Siena Heights will be in action next at the Saint Francis (Ind.) Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
