TECUMSEH, Mich. -- Siena Heights women's golfer Andrea Richards earned medalist honors during the Siena Heights Spring Invitational as the Saints' women's golf team placed second at the Hantz Golf Clubs on Friday.
Richards carded a seven-over-par 79 on the 6,278-yard layout.
Madonna won the team title with a score of 327 while Siena Heights' two squads -- Blue and Gold -- placed second and third, respectively. Blue's score was 335 while Gold had a 352.
Richards was the leading scorer of Siena Heights Blue. Fellow Blue golfer Sydney Gossett tied for seventh with SHU Gold member Jessa Rappleye as both Saint women shot 84s.
Also for the Blue, Andrea Rumler tied for ninth with an 85, Ashley Everett took 15th with an 87 and Alyssa Fausneaucht tied for 17th with an 89.
Elisabeth Higgins added an 86 to tie for 11th for the Gold.
Members of the all-tournament team included Richards and five golfers from Madonna, including Chelsea Collura (80), Holly Laginess (80), Becca Porter (80), Kaitlyn Brasher (81) and Ayla Bogie (82).
Other teams in the field included fourth-place Lourdes (367), which was followed, in order, by Jackson Community College (371), Cleary (372), Rochester (379) and Cornerstone (404).
