FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Sydney Gossett tied for sixth individually at the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree as the Siena Heights women's golf team placed fourth at Coyote Creek Golf Club on Wednesday. A total of 52 golfers from 10 teams competed.
Gossett fired a 79 on the 5,950-yard, par-72 course.
Also scoring for SHU, Lauren Cojei and Andrea Rumler tied for 15th with 84s and Andrea Richards fired an 86 to tie for 21st.
The Saints had a team score of 333, finishing 20 strokes behind team winner Indiana Tech (313). Indiana Tech's Courtney Dye was medalist with an even-par 72.
SHU remains fourth in the WHAC standings. Indiana Tech is atop the league with a three-event total of 958 and is followed, in order, by Madonna (965), Lawrence Tech (989), Siena Heights (1,010), Aquinas (1,043), Davenport (1,046), Northwestern Ohio (1,074), Lourdes (1,095), Cornerstone (1,282) and Concordia (inc.).
The Saints will return to competition on Friday at the Cleary Fall Invitational.
