ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's golf team opened its season at Trine's Kickoff Classic on Tuesday at par-72 Zollner Golf Course, placing eighth among nine teams.

Brooke Strand was SHU's leading golfer with a 96, finishing 43rd in the field of 70 golfers.

Other SHU finishers included Isabella Vincent (T-56th, 104), Chloe Zeolla (60th, 106) and Abby Campbell (T-63rd, 115).

SHU's team score was 421. The host Thunder won the event with a team score of 325. Trine's Rylee Smith was medalist with a 74.
