Siena Heights junior women's lacrosse player Marissa Cirino was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's lacrosse offensive player of the week for the third week in a row by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Crino had 13 goals, 5 assists, 19 shots, 18 shots on goal, and seven ground balls to help lead the Saints to two conference wins on the week against Bethel (Ind.) (19-15) and Cleary (25-2). She averaged 6.5 goals, 2.5 assists, 9.5 shots, 9.0 shots on goal, and 3.5 ground balls per game. Marissa ranks 2nd in Goals/Game (5.430), 2nd in Pts/Game (7.290), 4th in Total Goals (38), 4th in SOG/Game (7.000), 9th in Shots/Game (8.000), 13th in Total Shots on Goal (49), 20th in Total Shots (56), 20th in Assists/Game (1.860), and 21st in Total Assists (13).
This is Cirino's fourth WHAC player of the week award of her collegiate career and the team's third honor of the season.
Cirino will lead the Saints against Madonna Friday, April 9th for a WHAC matchup that beings at 4:00 PM.
