Cheney and Tiplady Highlight 32 Saints Honored by WHAC

The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference announced their Women's Soccer Honors for the 2024 season on Friday morning. 32 Saints were recognized with honors by the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference. Parker Cheney, a junior midfielder was named to the first team along with Lily Tiplady, a senior forward. Cheney has scored 10 goals and totaled 28 points with two goals being game winners. Tiplady has scored 12 goals tallying to 27 points with three game winning goals. 

Two Saints were honored being named 2nd team All-WHAC. Sarah Ammon, a senior forward, and Lily Diamond a freshman goalkeeper were both recognized. Ammon scored seven goals on the season with eight assists to total 22 points on the season. She scored three game winning goals. Diamond played in nine games, making 22 saves and allowing only three goals in 555:20 minutes of game time. She carries a 0.49 goals allowed average and has two shutouts on the season. On the season she has one win and two ties. 

Freshman Sarah DeWeese was named to the WHAC All-Newcomer Team being recognized for her outstanding defensive performance. 

Sarah Ammon was also recognized on the WHAC Champions of Character team. This award honors one student from each team that best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. 

Rounding out the award winners were a league high total of 26 student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom.  In order to earn the Academic All-WHAC award, a student must be a sophomore or better academically and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher. The Saints who earned this award were Lily Tiplady, Gianna Diaz, Sarah Ammon, Kayla Rivers, Alyssa Fischer, Ashton Parker, Christina Ibanez-Merino, Kaitlyn Jacobs, Kendall Wise, Evelyn Marx, Rachel Lynch, Isabella Whitney, Maddie Morris, Parker Cheney, Alyssa Naso, Maddie Chronister, Maya Ruffles, Genevieve Ihns, Emma Harden, Ruthie VanSkiver, Sydney Eads, Madison Verhaeghe, Keirra Thompson, Cassie McNatt, Kailey Lambert, Maddi Daugherty.
