ADRIAN, Mich. -- Over the past 25 years, Scott Oliver has been the most recognizable face associated with the Siena Heights women's soccer team, having led the program since 2001. Not only is Oliver the winningest soccer coach in Siena Heights history, he is also the winningest active collegiate coach in the State of Michigan.

On Sunday, Oliver became only the 11th head coach in NAIA women's soccer history -- 123rd across all divisions -- to reach the 300-win plateau. He currently ranks ninth among active NAIA coaches.

"First, I would like to thank all the players and assistant coaches that have dedicated themselves to our program. These wins are not mine alone and come on the hard work of so many other young women," Oliver said.

"Secondly, I am humble to realize that my success has come throughout multiple decades. However, instead of judging me on victories I wish I was able to count the number of lives that have we have impacted in a positive manner. Success on the field is a great honor and hopefully it reflects more onto the culture and the people, past and present, that work so hard to make the culture to stand for something more than winning. While my name gets associated with this accomplishment in my eyes it is more about this program and the alums of this program. In our program, Saints Pride is something we feel and can't explain exactly, but those that have it; know it and have it forever. I appreciate all those that make success more than winning."
