Conrad, Richards Receive Major Awards as Women's Track and Field Takes Third at WHAC Outdoors

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Pole vaulter Margherita Conrad had the Most Outstanding Performance and all-around Linnearia Richards was the Most Valuable Performer as the Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team finished third at the WHAC Championships, which took place Thursday and Friday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Conrad and Richards led the Saints team that finished with five NAIA autos, three provos and five event wins.

Conrad was first in the vault with a height of 13 feet, 5 1/4 inches (4.10 meters). Teammate Emma Stewart followed in second with an auto height of 12-7 1/2 (3.85m).

Richards won the 400-meter hurdles and long jump and placed second in the 100 hurdles. Her auto time in the 400 hurdles was 1:00.70, which broke her previous school record. Richards now has the three fastest 400 hurdles times in SHU women's history.

Faith Jackson had an auto time of 13.92 seconds while winning the 100 hurdles.

Emma Valentine won the high jump with an auto height of 5 7/4 (1.71m). Morgan Lutton was second with a provo 5-5 1/4 (1.66m).

The Siena Heights 4x100 relay team had a provisional time of 47.21. Team members were Jackson, Terria Fisher, Brooke Sharp and Jenna-Ann Johnson.
