UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- Siena Heights pole vaulter Emma Stewart placed first with an NAIA automatic-qualifying height as the Saints' women's indoor track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational on Friday.
Stewart's winning height was 12 feet, 7 1/2 inches (3.85 meters). Sister Kathryn Stewart followed in second place with an 11-2 1/2 (3.42m) while Iris Millies and Emma Wildt tied for fifth at 10-2 3/4 (3.12m).
Emma Valentine was runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 5-3 3/4 (1.62m). Morgan Lutton finished fourth with a 5-1 3/4 (1.57m).
Sprinter Terria Fisher had a pair of Top 5 finishes, taking third in the 200 (26.16 seconds) and fifth in the 60 (8.13). Her fastest time in the 60 came during preliminaries when she clocked in at 7.94, which had her seeded third.
Akiyah Ash finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 37-5 3.4 (11.42m).
