FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team fell in straight sets on the road to Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon. Aubrey Bates registered another double-double on the season with 28 assists and 11 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints came out on fire taking an early 7-0 lead in the first set. The Warriors responded with a 6-0 run of their own to come within a point of tying things up. That tie would happen a few points later at 10 points. The score would be tied for much of the rest of the set including a tie at 24 points that forced extra points. The Warriors held out with two-straight points to end the set with the win and gain the 1-0 lead.
Indiana Tech used a 5-0 run to pull away 15-10 in the second set on the way to a 25-18 decision and a 2-0 lead on the scoreboard. The home team pulled ahead 3-0 in the third, but SHU rallied and the score tied six more times up to a 14-14 deadlock. The Warriors used a 3-0 run to hold a 17-14 lead and never looked back to end the match in three.
TOP SAINTS
• Janel Ruhlman led the Saints with 14 kills.
• Bates added two kills and two service aces to her totals.
• Payton Osborne was the defensive leader with 15 digs.
• Sam Huddleston also helped on defense with 11 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
• Amaya Anderson led the Warriors attack with 10 kills.
• Jacey Blust had a match-high 20 digs.
