The following was printed on Jim Lyall's Hall of Fame Plaque.

Jim Lyall became the first football coach in Siena Heights history, leading the team from 2011 to 2015. Lyall coached one club season followed by four years of varsity competition, earning 19 wins during his varsity tenure. He was initially hired to lead the football task force that examined all the variables surrounding this monumental decision. Known for consistently playing a strong non-conference schedule, Lyall’s teams were highlighted by the Hall of Fame 2014 squad, which were co-champions of the very competitive MSFA Mideast division. In 2014, Lyall was named MSFA Mideast Coach of the Year and AFCA Regional Coach of the Year. Over his career, Lyall coached three NAIA All-Americans, 26 NAIA Scholar Athletes, 46 MSFA Mideast All-Conference honorees, one MSFA Mideast Player of the Year, 32 Academic MSFA student-athletes, two College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans, and 10 Siena Heights Hall of Fame players.
