LIMA, Ohio — The Siena Heights men's basketball team dropped a 56-53 final to WHAC opponent Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday night.
Siena Heights came out strong in the first half, taking an early lead with a 30-29 advantage after the opening 20 minutes. The Saints were paced by George Kalatzis, who poured in 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 3 triples, and grabbed 4 rebounds. Jack Olis contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Nick Sobush added 9 points and 3 boards. Despite shooting just 33.3% from the field, Siena Heights managed to keep the game close thanks to solid rebounding (32 total) and 80% free throw shooting.
The Saints will return to action Saturday with a 3 p.m. WHAC home game against Defiance.
