ADRIAN, Mich. — Jonas Tester scored 29 points as Siena Heights men's basketball team pushed Aquinas into overtime on Wednesday afternoon but ended up on the wrong side of an 89–81 contest as SHU basketball wrapped up its final home day in program history at the SHU Fieldhouse.
Tester was 10‑for‑15 shooting, including a pair of threes, while adding two steals and a block. He scored big baskets in key moments throughout the second half, including multiple go‑ahead buckets during a back‑and‑forth final five minutes of regulation.
Siena Heights led 38–37 at halftime and shot a strong 45.9 percent for the game, getting balanced support from Nick Sobush (14 points), Jack Olis (12) and George Kalatzis (11). Jasiah Rainey added eight points and eight rebounds while anchoring the Saints on the glass, where they held a 35–29 advantage.
The Saints built an 11‑point lead late in the first half and again surged ahead by six with just over seven minutes left in the second, but Aquinas continually answered.
Siena Heights forced eight ties and 10 lead changes in a game that remained tight until the final seconds of regulation. With the Saints trailing 77–76 in the final seconds, Danilo Rajlic split a pair of free throws with one second remaining to force overtime.
But OT belonged to Aquinas. Siena Heights managed just four points in the extra period, while the Saints from Grand Rapids cashed in at the rim and at the foul line.
