SYLVANIA, Ohio — The Siena Heights men's basketball made a furious late push and climbed within a single possession in the final minutes, but Lourdes answered each surge and held on for a 67–62 win on Saturday afternoon in the final men's basketball game in SHU history.
Siena Heights (8–20, 4–18 WHAC) got a balanced effort across its rotation, led by Nick Sobush's 15 points, including a pair of threes and a perfect 3‑for‑4 at the line. Jasiah Rainey turned in a strong two‑way night with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and George Kalatzis added 10 points while shooting 5‑for‑11 from the floor.
Senior forward Jack Olis gave Siena Heights a major lift after halftime, scoring all five of his points in the second half and pulling down eight rebounds. Jonas Tester added seven points and defended well inside, while Trevor Gillis came off the bench to knock down two threes and finish with eight points.
The Saints overcame a slow shooting start and trailed just 32–27 at halftime before tightening the game multiple times in the second half. Siena Heights cut the deficit to 46–42 on a Tester jumper and again to 54–46 after a Kalatzis finish inside, eventually getting back within single digits several more times down the stretch.
