Cheney's Four Goals Propels Saints to Dominant Victory

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team rolled to a 8-1 victory over WHAC conference opponent Concordia on Wednesday. 

Parker Cheney led the way with four goals and one assist while Sarah Ammon, Madalyn Freitas, Lily Tiplady, and Caitlyn Frank all tallied single goals. 

Emily Broman made two assists and Parker Cheney had one assist. 

Sydney Eads was the winning goalkeeper with two saves off of three shots on goal. 

Parker Cheney had the only first half goal for the Saints to take a 1-0 lead at halftime before exploding in the second half with seven second half goals. Broman assisted Cheney in the fourth minute. 

During the second half, the Saints pulled away with four goals in a span of just six minutes, 26 seconds. Cheney was in on five goals: she assisted the third and scored four of the eight goals. Cheney scored the first in the fourth minute, 47th minute, assisted on a goal in the 49th minute, and scored consecutive goals in the 54th and 60th minute. 

The Saints will return to action on Friday, Oct. 4, with a 1 p.m. EDT game vs Rochester Christian at O'Laughlin Stadium.
