ADRIAN, Mich. -- Sierra Calhoun scored 15 points and Mackenzie Tomasik put in 10 as the 16th-ranked Siena Heights women's basketball team celebrated "Senior Night" with an 89-43 victory over Marygrove in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse. SHU has now won 16 of its last 17 contests.
Grace Howrigon added eight assists for the Saints (21-6, 14-5) while Calhoun, Nicole Halliwill and Alexxxis Knannlein grabbed six rebounds apiece. Knannlein and Jessie Arnold had nine points each.
SHU raced out to an early 15-3 lead, including a stretch of 11 straight points, and led the entire way. The Saints also had consecutive-point runs of 10, 8 and 7 during the first half, taking a 54-23 advantage into halftime.
The Saints' smallest second-half lead was 33 points. They twice led by 48.
As a team, Siena Heights held the Mustang offense to an 11-for-59 performance (18.6 percent).
Ciara Moore was the top performer for Marygrove (2-24, 0-19), finishing with nine points and six rebounds.
Siena Heights will be in action again on Saturday when it visits Michigan-Dearborn for a 5 p.m. tip-off.
